QUICKIE!
Just a quick post to show our house...at night over the holidays. I worked long and hard on the outdoor lights. We hope to add to them next year but we were pleased this year. More to come very soon.

BRUNCH WITH SANTA
We had brunch with Santa last Sunday at BCC with Jed, Whitney and Kate. The kids were so cute together. They are really getting to be great little buddies and we love it. Richter of course wanted nothing to do with Santa again but Kate loved him this time. (and I promise you could not see my nude bra through my dress in real life...ick)

LITTLE RED WAGON PARTY
Richter's Little Red Wagon first birthday party was so much fun! As usual I didn't take enough pictures and certainly not enough of the decorations and food. I will say I worked very hard to make it super special and I really think I accomplished just that. The cake and candy table was a big hit with all of the kids. Other than the sweets we served chicken salad, ham biscuits, brie with apple chutney, DH made cheese slaw and I got donut holes. Everything was great!
As guests were arriving and people were eating Richter had a great time playing. We were a little worried we'd have a meltdown at some point during the day seeing that he only had a 30 minute nap before the party. We were wrong, he was so good all day and was his usual "hammy" self.

I couldn't decide how to display his pictures that I took every month sitting beside his dog so this was my last minute decision.
It's cake time!! He wasn't sure what to think at first but he eventually dug in and enjoyed it.

After a quick clean up, we opened gifts. He is one lucky boy. We got all kinds of fun gifts. Our living room has been taken over with baby toys.

REALLY??
We took Richter to see Santa last week at one of our local children's boutiques. While we were there we got him some cute Christmas/winter jammies. Totsy now has them on sale for $10!! If you have a little one, this brand is super cute and they fit great!! (and if you need an invite to Totsy let me know, I'll send you one)

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO
We have had a rough week. Richter finally cut two more teeth. They have really given him a fit. Then right after that (or as a part of it) his nose is running non-stop and he just doesn't feel well. It is so pitiful. He isn't interested in eating, he is waking up in the middle of the night and it's taking forever to get him back to bed, and he even ended up in bed with DH and I one night and that is a major no no in our book. But, he has also kept himself busy and been playing a lot. I came out of the kitchen the other day and found him sitting in the middle of his toys. Obviously one just isn't enough.

He has also enjoyed hanging out in an empty box. Anything that keeps him happy!

That's about all the excitement we could stand this week. Oh, I did get our Christmas cards yesterday. They are addressed and ready to be mailed first thing Monday morning! So cute! The rest of the weekend consists of decorating outside tomorrow, working tomorrow night and getting our tree Sunday. After a busy weekend, I'm going to have an even busier week getting ready for Richter's first birthday party. I can't wait!!

GIVING THANKS, BIRTHDAY CELEBRATING AND COLLEGE FOOTBALL
We had a wonderful first Thanksgiving as a party of 3. We were in Appomattox most of the day with my family, then headed back to Lynchburg in the evening to see DH's family. Of course too much food was consumed because it was all soooo good, and hey, that's what you do on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately yet again I was not so good with the camera. I did get a few good shots of Freddie and Richter playing Legos.

Friday afternoon we went to Charlottesville to celebrate Lil's birthday with Cissa, Ed, Morgen, Gardner and Kyle. Luckily we got to the room before her and had a chance to decorate. She was so excited and loved it so much.

After we celebrated in the room a little we all got dressed to go to the Jefferson to see Indecision play. We were all just happy to be together, especially for such a special occasion. Here's a pic of me and the birthday girl.
