AS MUSHY AS DH

DH sometimes claims that he is the girl in our relationship and I am the guy (sorry babe). I'm not usually as mushy. But then I have my moments. For some reason tonight is one of those moments. I am so in love with my Harris boys! Even though one of them can DRIVE ME CRAZY, I can't imagine life without them. I am one lucky girl. So this post is dedicated to my guys, both big and small.

RICHTER'S NEW TOYS

Mommy and Nana got Richter a couple of new toys/teethers today and he loves them already. He put Sophie in his mouth immediately. I'm sure teething is right around the corner. The winkel is great because his little hands can grab the loops and it is easy for him hold.

Richter has also been eating rice cereal for several weeks now. I got him oatmeal cereal today and we're going to give it a test drive tonight. Wish us luck!

FIRST FAMILY GOLF OUTING

DH suggested we have a family golf outing Friday. I agreed for more than one reason. A) IT WAS GORGEOUS OUTSIDE and B) while he was able to do something he loves, I got a little exercise in which made me happy. Here is a picture of the club house at our club.

Awake again a couple of holes later and so happy! I truly think he loves golf already.

THINKING ABOUT EASTER

Look what was delivered the other day

I can't wait for the Easter Bunny to fill it with this book and with these because you can never have too many. Richter will just be starting to eat fruits so we'll put some goodies in and I think I'll get this set also.
He needs something cute to wear so I'm getting ready to order this outfit now.
Having a baby is so much fun!!

FAVORITES FROM NEWBORN TO 3 MONTHS

We have only been at this for three months but there are definitely somethings we couldn't have done without.

swaddling blankets- These are the best ever! They mold to your baby's body but still keep their shape. (Thanks Auntie Lil)

gentle giraffe- We use this daily. During the day we use the relax setting and it puts Richter to sleep for an afternoon nap. At night we use the sleep setting (white noise) and it's lights out.

j&j lavender bath and lotion- Every other night is Johnson & Johnson Lavender bath night. Richter sleeps 8-9 hours a night everynight, but he seems to fall asleep faster and sleep sounder on bath night.

froggy-I can't say this happened accidentally. I have kind of forced this on the little man but he now loves his froggy and wants it when he is sleepy.

rockabye baby- Lullabies that are renditions set to modern rock bands. My favorites are Coldplay, Bob Marley, U2 and Guns N' Roses. We took one of our ipods and put only lullabies on it for Richter. We have a docking station in his nursery and play it at night when he goes to bed.

mam pacifiers- These are the only pacifiers Richter will take. Friends have told me that it will change the older he gets but for now we will stick with what he knows and likes.

pack n play- This has been very helpful. It is a bassinet and changing table all in one. We keep it in our living room and it is very useful throughout the day. The fact that it is also a playpen for the future is great.

BOB stroller-What an amazing stroller. The weather has cleared up a little in Virginia so we have been able to get outside quite a bit. Going on walks completely relaxes Richter. He zonks out on me every time. The BOB is such a smooth ride he naps the whole time.

I hope this list is as inspiring to as many of you as others' lists have been to me.

MY BABY BOY IS 3 MONTHS OLD

I can't believe three months have gone by so fast.

Richter is doing so many new and exciting things every day. He not only reaches for the toys on his play gym but actually grabs and pulls them. He loves blowing bubbles and sitting up in his Bumbo. Tummy time still isn't Richter's favorite, but it is getting better. I don't think it will be long before he is rolling over. He spends more time looking around discovering new things and less time sleeping. And that smile... to die for. After cereal and our last bottle we get in bed around 11:00 and sleep until 7-7:30.

I am so in love with this little man and am so proud to be his mommy!

WELCOME TO HARRIS - PARTY OF 3

I spend a lot of time on the computer reading several blogs so I thought "why not start my own?" So...here it is.

My husband DH and I had our first baby in December. We are having fun being parents and learning something new every day.
