OH HOW WE LOVE HILTON HEAD

DH and I have always agreed that we could live at the beach. It looks like Richter is on the same page as Mommy and Daddy. Today was a good day at the beach. We played a lot in the sand and in the ocean.

Oh my goodness I love this little face.

All of that playing sure wore the baby out.

Of course the only picture he is looking right at me he has shadows from the blinds on his face. Oh well, it's still cute.
Hey little guy, you're starting a little early... ha ha
We walked on the beach last night and it was beautiful. Did I mention that we could easily live at the beach??

We've also done a lot of playing in the condo. Richter has been a little under the weather, but it hasn't stopped him at all. He is such a happy little guy.

Richter has found his voice and likes to let everyone know by yelling. (it is usually provoked by someone else yelling to start it...Nana)

We are enjoying every minute of vacation. Richter has also picked up a couple new tricks. He is clapping now, holding his own bottle every time he eats and waving like a champ!
Kara, Ronnie and Haydon come tomorrow and we get another whole week here! So excited.

VACATION IS HERE

Richter's first time at the beach was in May but he was only 5 months old and not moving around yet. This trip has been fun, watching him check everything out.

Nana decided to give him a pile of soft sand to play with and explore.
And of course it went right in his mouth.
Richter also met a little girlfriend at the pool. He was really showing off, squealing and really acting like a little ham. She actually started "talking" back to him.

They were having such a good time she thought she'd play with his toys.
That didn't go over so well. Someone doesn't like to share. We're going to have to work on that. All of the guys at the pool told him he's going to have to get used to girls taking everything he has. hahaha!

9 MONTHS OLD...YIKES!

On Tuesday my little angel turned 9 months old. I can't believe we have had him with us as long as I was pregnant! (the pregnancy seemed soooo much longer) We are getting ready to leave for the beach today and I can't wait to see him in action there. I didn't get a good shot of him looking at the camera but there are still some cute ones here.

Richter is doing so much right now and learning new things every day. He gets very proud of himself when he puts a smaller stacking cup into a larger one. (I'm pretty impressed too) And just this morning he drank his entire bottle holding it himself! I took a video of it and will post it soon. He is so funny when he wants to take something with him from point A to point B he just puts it in his mouth and takes off crawling. He looks like a momma dog carrying her puppies. It's pretty cute. We love to brush our teeth (thank goodness) and snack time is happy time. Richter has tried a lot of big people food now and likes just about everything, including guacamole!! He had his 9 month check up Wednesday and weighs 19 lbs. and 10 oz. and is 28 inches long. He fits comfortably in 6-9 month clothes (or 6-12 mo. or 9 mo depending on the brand). He is loving his new crib and no longer comes in our room in the mornings for the last hour of sleep.
I don't know what I did before I became a Mommy! I love it so much.

HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM...(not really)

How cute is our little astronaut going to be on Halloween?? (no that's not him, but that is the costume) He even has R. Harris on his suit. I can't wait to share a picture of him in it.

CONSIGNMENT SHOPPING

I have fallen in love with Once Upon A Child thanks to DH's cousin Whitney. She kept telling me I had to go in there, that I could find great deals for Richter. So I finally did. LOVE IT! I scored (for the second time) last week. I got these cute shoes in khaki, this cute fleece one-piece outfit from Gap, and a one-piece fleece get up from Columbia that is similar to this one but Richter's is light blue. It still has the tags on it...originally $45 and I got it for $14. We also got a few pairs of pants and a couple of shirts for winter. An ADORABLE one-piece Polo outfit that is seersucker and Polo red and navy striped hoodie. OMG!! (oh and two bathing suits for the beach for $2.50 each) Can you tell I'm excited??
We leave for the beach in about a week and a half and I CAN'T WAIT! I have made my list (because I am totally a list person) and checked it about 15 times. I am so anxious I have already started getting some things together in the guest bedroom. Richter and I are leaving Friday the 17th after work and going to Charlotte to stay with Kara and Ronnie. We will drive the rest of the way Saturday morning. DH will come the following Tuesday night. Then Ronnie, Kara and Haydon will join us for a week on Sunday the 26th! I will take a ton of pictures to post.
