DADDY, THIS POST IS FOR YOU

(Richter's daddy, not my daddy) After lots of research and reading a ton of reviews, I think we need to buy this car seat in Cowmooflage for our very special little man. I can't believe that it is time to start thinking about this but as with everything, it's a catch 22. Holy cow, Richter is a year old and needs a "big boy" car seat, but at the same time thank goodness we can turn him around and he can finally face forward!!

SPOOKY

I am so excited about tomorrow.
3:00 chili at our house with Mom, Daddy, Brian, Jim and Shari. (so sorry Scooter, Jeanmarie, Freddie, Julian and Danielle can't make it) Then we take the little astronaut trick-or-treating around 5:30 with our buddies. Then... a big bowl of soup to warm up at Carrie and Jeff's afterwards.
Happy Halloween to all and happy FIRST Halloween to my special little munchkin.

WISH LIST

Dear Santa,
I have been a very good girl this year so I am sending you my Christmas wish list! I love this navy shirt and these ivory cords.
There are always more pieces I could use to add to my Le Creuset collection. Like this 12 qt. stockpot.

And the 7 1/4 qt. French Oven
I would also love a new Hobo clutch in pumpkin, this wonderful chopping board some new Michael Kors perfume and of course a TJ Maxx gift card is always nice. I'm sure I will come up with more ideas as Christmas approaches, I just wanted to give you and your elves something to think about!

RICHTER'S CHRISTMAS

I think Santa might have to bring Richter this chair for Christmas. A lot of times while he is crawling he will stop right in front of the tv to watch for a little bit. Our tv is not close to the floor so I think this chair will be nice. Of course the little elves will have to put his name on it. I can't believe it's time to think about Christmas already. Which means it's time to think about a first birthday party. (as if I haven't already started that)

LITTLE LOVEBUG

10 MONTH OLD ASTRONAUT

My little astronaut turned 10 months old yesterday. I can't believe I am going to have a 1 year old in just 2 months. WOW!

Richter is crawling around like a little speed demon. Pulling up on anything and everything and starting to move around whatever he is holding onto. He still only has 2 teeth but the top 2 have to come through soon, we can see them. Poor guy is definitely feeling them.
He throws anything he can get his hands on and just stays busy all day long! DH & I are so proud of our little guy. He is so smart and catches on to new things very quickly! We are consumed with love!

MORE HHI PICS

We had a wonderful vacation. Two weeks in Hilton Head was just perfect. We had a few days of rain the second week but we were with great friends and family so it didn't matter. We did quite a bit of bike riding, strolling up the beach, cooking as well as eating out, and we may have had a few adult beverages here and there. As I said, it was great. This picture is probably my favorite from the whole vacay. The kids enjoying a little Nick Jr.
Some Uncle Ronnie love.
I'm not sure who we are listening to but it must have been interesting.
Richter was so happy to have a buddy to play in the sand with.

Haydon loves him so much.

Is it too soon to start thinking about our annual, September HHI trip for next year already?

BACK TO NORMAL

Last week was a bust for the Harris house. We got home from the beach and I just felt yuck! I had laryngitis, my jaw and head hurt from major sinus pressure and I was moving slow. ALLERGIES STINK!! Thank goodness for Allegra. It took a couple of days to get in my system but once it did...new woman. In the mean time, Richter started acting icky. Wednesday he was very clingy and by that night he started getting a lot of "gunk" in his right eye. Thursday morning we were in the doctor's office only to find out the poor munchkin had pink eye, an ear infection in one ear and fluid in the other. So not fair. We saw a doctor that is of the belief that children in America are over medicated but even he prescribed Richter amoxicilin. I stayed home with him on Thursday and snuggled all day. By Friday morning, the two of us were both feeling better. And now... we are pretty much back to normal.
I have started studying this week to become a realtor. I haven't studied in several years and hope I can get into the swing of it. There is a ton of information to know, I'm not sure how I'm going to learn it all. I am doing it on my own at home. Wish me luck!
I have several more beach pictures to post and also Garlic Festival pictures from the weekend. I will work on that soon.
