OUTDOOR FUN

We have had such a mild winter, it has been great! We get outside and play as much as possible. Richter likes to take his 4 wheeler out and tool around the yard. I finally remembered to grab the camera one day.
This guy loves to sing all. of. the. time.

This is one of my favorite pictures.
We have so much fun with Richter. He is a very entertaining little man. He loves to sing and dance and is very, very active. He sings anything from Jingle Bells (which we have to sing together every night before I can leave his room after books) to his ABC's and he doesn't miss a beat. The teachers in his class said that when they are working on colors Richter knows everyone and is the first one to call them out. (and he is the youngest in his class) He is a whiz at puzzles and loves anything with wheels. It is amazing how smart my monkey is.

HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY DH!

My sweet hubby turned 40 in January. If he told me once he told me 100 times, that he did not want me to plan a party for him. No surprise, not even one he knew about. He does not like to be in the spotlight at all (thank goodness cause I think we all know someone else in this relationship who loves it - no competing here) I couldn't just let it pass without doing anything so I offered a trip to the Caribbean or Las Vegas. Well of course he chose Vegas!
We went in 2007 and stayed at the Paris Hotel so we decided to stay there again. You just can't beat the location and it is beautiful.
This is one of the restaurants in the new hotel the Cosmopolitan. This picture really doesn't do it justice. It was cool.
This is another restaurant/bar in the same hotel. The of it is Chandelier, how fitting.
New York, New York.
I think this was in the Mirage. This kid was just hanging out in the lion cage.
Planet Hollywood casino
I thought these betting rooms were crazy. True sports fanatics hang here.
DH getting his candy fix. I couldn't resist snapping this shot.
I'm not sure if this was outside of Caesar's or the Bellagio but just wanted a picture of how BIG everything is. Vegas definitely has a WOW factor to it.

Bellagio sign advertising the Cirque du Soleil show O. We went our last night there. That was David's gift from his parents and we had 2nd row tickets. It was amazing. (thank you so much)

This picture is for you DH!!
We decided that Richter would think his parents are pretty cool when he saw the next two pictures. I plan on framing them and putting them in his room.

We had 4 nights in Vegas (away from the monkey for 6 nights...was a little hard for mommy) and thoroughly enjoyed it. We haven't been away, just the two of us, since our honeymoon. I think DH had a great 40th. xoxoxoxo

CLICK THE ELF

Click showed up on December 4th and brought Richter a couple of treats, breakfast (which consisted of hot chocolate with marsh mellows and powdered sugar donuts) and a penguin ornament with his name on it. I'm not real sure Richter knew what to think, actually for about the first full week. After that he definitely got excited to look for him each morning.
That silly little elf was hiding on top of the mirror and had left Richter a message not to get any time outs that day.
Click took a shower, then dropped snowflakes in the tub and wrote on the wall.

"Snow" angel!
Hanging out in Dickens village with Scrooge.
Richter could not believe Click had gotten into his blocks.

That crazy elf is driving Richter's new train he had just gotten the night before for his 2nd birthday.
Monkey helps me make my coffee every morning. This one really had him laughing out loud.

Richter wasn't real sure about this morning, his new bean bag AND his Play Doh!!

Click had Richter's toothbrush all ready for him this morning.
Playing a little drums with the nutcrackers.
There were obviously a few days I forgot to take pictures but we really enjoyed Click. I'm sure Richter will be excited when he comes back this year!!

CATCH UP WITH A PHOTO DUMP!!

I am soooo far behind I don't even know where to begin with what has gone on in the last several months. The best thing I can do is just "dump" a lot of pictures in this post so you can see for yourself.
Starting off with brunch with Santa. Teddy Spaghetti was there making balloon animals as well.

Richter's Christmas program at St. John's Day School. His class sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Pretty cute!

We went downtown one Saturday and saw the Grench and Mr. and Mrs. Clause with "Bobby" and Christy. (I bought a picture of him sitting with them. For some reason I didn't think to take my own.) We also took a ride in a horse drawn carriage. That was fun but we stood in line waiting FOREVER.

We decorated the tree this night. I was taking pictures of it and he stood in front of it posing and saying, "Mommy, get me, cheeese".

Last year I got DH a desk calendar and for each month I put a picture of Richter from that particular month in it. He loved it so much I decided I need to do that every year. I ordered it in November so I didn't have any December pictures yet so these last two are my attempts at making them look like December pics. The last one we were decorating Meemaw's tree before Thanksgiving. I did get one that I used for the calendar of just Richter in front of the tree but I thought this one was funny. Poor Papa just wanted a picture of the two of them and my little stinker was being just that...a little stinker.
