A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF THE HARRIS'

Last Friday we went to see Dr. Mandeville for Richter's 4 month check up. He weighed in at 13 lbs. and 9 ozs. and is a whole 2 FEET TALL! (I love saying that) We talked about adding solid foods into his diet and weening him off of Zantac which he takes for reflux. Then the dreaded shots came. Richter cried a little but Mommy...I LOST IT! I have never heard my baby boy scream out in that kind of pain and I couldn't handle it. What am I going to do if anything big happens to him?? Ugh
Here he is as happy as can be waiting for the nurse to come in. (totally clueless)

Of course we don't have pictures of the moment right after the shots. As I said, it was not pretty.
Look at my little man's poor boo boos.

After we got past that, we started eating vegetables. We tried Gerber butternut squash first. Richter seemed to like it, but was more interested in his bib.

I got a "Cooking for Baby" cookbook from Jillian for my birthday and decided to put it to use. The first recipe I tried was zucchini puree. Richter seems to love it. The whole vegetable thing is obviously still new to him with the tastes and textures but he is getting the hang of it.

And last but not least, we did a little shopping today and on the way home my little exhausted love bug fell asleep. I am in love with his feet! I couldn't resist taking a picture when I found them crossed while he was snoozing. Sooo cute.
