What a busy weekend full of fun with family and friends. DH and I had the parents and Whitney and Kate over for chili yesterday afternoon. Richter skipped his afternoon nap with all of the excitement but the car ride over to
Cissa and Ed's took care of that. So this is how we started our evening.

Richter woke up and just sat back and enjoyed the ride.
Saturday afternoon was the chili cook-off at the
Sedalia Center. It is one of my favorite events in the fall. It was
DH's first time and we all had a good time. There were a couple that were really good and a couple that went right in the trash. Thank goodness DH tried them first! When we left there we went to Laurie and Trey's for dinner. Unfortunately I was not a very good photographer. There were so many children there and Richter had such a great time playing with them but I only got a few shots of him playing in the yard.
Hey Mom, I love eating goldfish. Much better than that chili you have.
