CRAZY HAIR
This time of year there is absolutely nothing I can do with Richter's hair! Humidity is key for his gorgeous curls. Of course we take nighttime baths (right before bedtime) so he wakes up with crazy hair every morning. Today was no exception. This is how he went to school. When I asked him if anyone laughed he said, "everybody liked it, or didn't even look!" No shame in his game!

MYRTLE BEACH VACAY!!
We packed the van up like the Clampett's and were off to North Myrtle. We spent the week at the North Beach Plantation and there was lots to do for everyone. Richter's favorite place to be, in the middle of August mind you, was in one of the many hot tubs. We had a lot of fun. We took turns cooking in, all hung out together at the pool playing a couple of evenings and had a great dinner out one night. It was our first family vacation and rumor has it the search is on for next year.
We were on the 12th floor, oceanfront. Just about every night people set of fireworks right in front of us. Pretty nice to see at eye level.

FIRST TRIP TO THE SAFARI PARK AND ZOO
We took Richter to the Natural Bridge Safari Park and Zoo this summer. (I was just as excited as he was) We got up, packed a lunch and hit the road. We went to the Safari Park first. Right when we got there I let Richter sit on my lap so he could see everything. We had fun and fed some of the animals. Others were way to grabby! Hello there guy...
We ate our lunch in the car between the Safari and the Zoo. (all in the middle of potty training...fun) Right away we told Richter that he and DH were going to ride the elephant. MISTAKE. The kid has a one track mind. He really didn't have much interest in the other animals at the zoo. He just wanted to find the elephant.
We had a wonderful family day!!
