THIS IS FOR YOU AUNT JILLIAN

First things first...how do you like my onesie? We love it!!I have been thinking about the things Richter (nor I) could live without from day one. (I posted about some of these things in one of my first posts, sorry about the repeats)
  • pack n play - there are several different versions out there but we really love ours that has a removable bassinet and changing table. VERY HANDY!
  • a swing - what a lifesaver for just about everything. It was great for nap time and also occupying him while I needed to shower, cook, clean, etc. (not so much anymore)
  • bouncy seat - this was short lived for Richter but he did enjoy it for about 2 months! The thing he really liked about it was that it vibrated. VIBRATION IS REALLY IMPORTANT, THEY LOVE IT.
  • play gym (activity gym) - this was something we used daily until about 2 week ago!
  • boppy - great for feeding (whether breast feeding or bottle feeding) while they are newborns, but also great for helping them with tummy time and sitting later. LOVE THIS ONE!
  • aden & anais swaddling blankets - the very best! (diapers.com) I love the fact that they are bigger than most and the light weight muslin fabric is great. Before I had Richter I had no opinion one way or another about swaddling. HE LOVED IT! We actually still swaddle him when he is restless. It is amazing how it relaxes him.
  • some sort of "lovey" - I definitely forced his little froggy on him but now he loves it. He rubs it on his face and it soothes him.
  • pacifiers - just a couple to have on hand just in case. I didn't want Richter to depend on one. The second night we were home from the hospital and he was screaming at 3:30 in the morning I broke down. I do not regret it.
  • a sound machine - we have the gentle giraffe for Richter and we hung it on his crib. It plays 4 different sounds. The one we use most is white noise. It is like the sound they hear in the womb and it soothes them also.

I hope this helps! There are probably more things I could add to the list but I think this is a good start. I will let you know if I think of anything else. xoox
